A dynamic ceiling inspired by Sendai Castle

A ceiling inspired by the atrium lattice ceiling of the main hall of Sendai Castle, built by Date Masamune, feudal lord of the Sendai domain. The main hall of Sendai Castle's main enclosure was the central building of the Honmaru Palace, and due to its vast size, it was also referred to as "Senjojiki," meaning "a thousand tatami mats."A slight glance upward lets you feel the dignified beauty of Date culture's refined aesthetic. The Tanabata decorations in August, a beloved tradition at Sendai Station, are also a sight to behold.
